For Garden Stewards and Volunteers: Thoughts about Planting

If you have volunteered to maintain one of the gardens in the SWC, you may have empty spots that need replanting. Talk with conservancy board members and other gardeners to think about what to plant. Find out about the original landscape plans to see what was originally envisioned for the space. Consider native species, especially any that will do well during dry summer months with minimal watering. Avoid invasive plants by reviewing the invasive plant lists provided here. Take your time and consider the balance of plants in the garden you are working with and make a choice that you and your neighbors will enjoy.
