An early spring volunteer day in the Southwest Corridor Park. BostonCares volunteers, working with the Southwest Corridor Park Conservancy, moving a tree in preparation for new plantings near West Canton Street.
On the May 21, 2011 volunteer day, volunteers received materials that were donated by the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company for landscaping along the corridor and worked on projects together. Thank you Scotts and volunteers! View Slideshow:
First spring volunteer day for 2011. April 16th - Boston Cares and Northeastern Univ. volunteers joined SWCPC volunteers for transplanting, pruning, weeding and raking.
Students from the Schweitzer Fellowship Program chose the Southwest Corridor as the location for a Day of Service, providing a day of volunteer work and donating new plants to the corridor. On October 17th, the group worked, along with SWC Volunteers to plant, weed, and do fall garden clean-up work.
